Well I have done it again. I read another Harry Potter book. I am slowly but surely making my way through the series. I’ve got a feeling things will slow down with #4 because I’ve heard the books get significantly fatter as you go along. Nonetheless, I am determined to read them all and will continue chugging along to accomplish that goal. Harry Potter y el Prisionero de Azakaban (Prisoner of Azkaban)… Read More

I slumber well and take my post, in my watchful tower.  Tiny people can be seen moving round, from my little birds nest.  The neighbor rooster can be heard, from my spot on high. The water boiled coffee’s ready, in my warm haven. The day ahead is young and free, Though I wonder who or what might also be watching me.

His novel of about 500 pages accompanied me wherever I went. I read it in bed every night, at work, on the toilet, at friend’s houses, in coffee shops and on buses. I could… Read More

Apparently I have been in country for one year. If it weren’t for the social media accounts of the other volunteers in my group, I probably would not have known. I have not been thinking about my service in terms of time. For others, their service is a countdown to close-of-service (COS). The presence my service has brought me is one of the most beautiful parts of it. Yes I do think… Read More
